Schools, businesses resume as isolation period ends

Schools, business houses and other institutions nationwide resumed operations this morning after a month of isolation.

Traffic was heavy as normal business continued in Port Moresby.

Students in the nation’s capital were seen rushing off to school to begin term 2 while public servants returned to work full strength.

Today marks the end of 4 weeks of nationwide isolation period that was implemented to curb the spike in COVID cases.

National Pandemic Response Controller, David Manning, says operations going forward must be COVID compliant.
