POLICE ENOURAGE HYGIENE AND REDUCE PETTY CRIME AT COMMUNITY MARKET PLACE

On Friday November 26, members of the Fox Unit 202 were seen (picture supplied) interacting with the community, who assisted police with soft drinks and food.
Police say the market place near the Gerehu Sports Complex is constantly riddled with trash generated by the bustling informal trade, making it a public eyesore and breeding ground for street thugs.
To help clean up the market and prevent crime, members of the Constabulary regularly visit the vendors to create awareness on personal hygiene and crime.
The relationship has reduced petty crime.
