The 200, 000 Sinopharm Vaccines from China is expected to arrive into the country by the end of this month.

The donation of the Sinopharm vaccines was done by the Chinese Government in early February.

Health and HIV/AIDS Minister, Jelta Wong, explained that the delay was because PNG needed all the data, including three phases of experimental statistics on Sinopharm.

Wong said everything has been completed, and the instrument has been gazetted, to allow China to bring in the vaccines into PNG.

He said preparations to bring in the vaccines will be detailed in the coming days.

Meanwhile, China has four vaccines, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Kexing, and Cansino already distributed worldwide.
