Kuima Security guards went on a rampage at the Jacksons Airport this morning over contract disagreement.

A number of National Airport Corporation infrastructures at the airport were damaged by frustrated guards following NAC’s announcement to award a full time contract to Asila Security Firm.

The announcement did not go down well with the guards after years of providing security services to NAC properties.

The main entrance of the domestic terminal was broken, a vehicle belonging to Asila got smashed, pot plants were pushed over and some security systems were destroyed.

A security officer from Asila also received injuries to his head.

Police from McGregor are attending to the situation.

NAC will be holding a press conference this afternoon to give further details.

Meantime, Air Niugini flights out of Port Moresby are currently suspended until further notice.
