Health and clinic supplies arrived in Port Moresby this afternoon from Australia.

The supplies were sent aboard an Australian Air Force C-130.

Australia sent consumables and equipment required to set up a vaccination clinic to administer the AstraZeneca vaccine to frontline health care workers who want to be vaccinated.

The supplies include personal protective gear, including gowns, gloves and goggles to help front line health workers in their workplaces as they provide essential health services to Papua New Guineans.

The supplies come in time as the country plans to roll out vaccination tomorrow starting with the country's biggest hospital Port Moresby General Hospital.

Last week, 8, 000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in the country from Australia.
